He may have been a member of the White Sox for less than a year but seeing that pretty swing in the black and white was nice while it lasted.
Junior is getting up there in age and many thought last year would have been it for him. He decided for one more year and has started out slow.
But apparently the other night, Griffey jr had gone into the clubhouse in the middle of a game and fell asleep. The way the M's have been hitting, it would put anyone to sleep.

What is Michael Jordan up to (besides basketball)
One of the greatest if not the greatest Chicago athletes of all time is of course MJ. I recently saw a clip of a story ESPN ran on Michael Jordan Motorsports.
Apparently Michael has had a passion for motorcycles since a young age but shelved it during his basketball career (hear that Big Ben?) and a few years ago got into professional racing. This marks the seventh year he has lent his name and brand to the sport and longtime passion. Check out the video here.
There is some great merchandise available on his site too!

Robin Roberts ... one of the great ones
Even though he only pitched one season with the Cubs, I wanted to take some time to mention a few things about this great Phillies pitcher who passed away this week.
He won more games for the Phillies than all of their other right handers put together for the last 50 years.
He started 609 games in his career. He also has 305 complete games which is just amazing.
Thank you for the memories Robin.

Jamie Moyer is still going
Back in 1986, a pitcher named Jamie Moyer made his debut with the Cubs. In 2010 and he made history.
Last night Moyer became the oldest pitcher in MLB history to throw a complete game shutout. What was great about the game was his at-bat in the 8th inning where he was fouling off pitch after pitch.
Nice show Jamie!

Milton Bradley is still a tool
Yes I know that is no news flash to anyone (outside of Milton himself of course.)
His moto is "it's not my fault, its everyone else" has been consistent at least. Last night he pulled some more crap on Seattle who have gone out of their way to make a good environment for him.
Apparently after he struck out twice looking Bradley came back to the dugout and told manager Don Wakamatsu something along the lines of "I'm done. I'm not helping the team.'' according to a Seattle Sports Writer Geoff Baker.
This comes after a game where he stood there and watched a ball drop a few feet ahead of him because he thought Franklin Gutierrez had it even though Gutierrez was no where in sight.
Who is the common denominator in his history of crap? "Oh its not my fault."
Welcome Home Scotty Pods
When the White Sox let Scott Podsednik go, many questioned the move, including me. Scotty moved on to KC and has been playing well for them and batting .327 as of today. He returned to the Southside on Monday and so far is 3 for 9 with 1 HR, 2 RBIs, and 2 RUNS.
I hope you keep it up Scotty. You were always one of my fav Sox and I'm glad to have you on my fantasy team as well. :)

Who else than Rex Grossman to kick this off ...
He may be one of the most hated former Chicago atheletes of all time. I know he is one of mine. I was thrilled to see him finally let go a few years ago. I was hoping he would go to a team with T.O. so he would get ripped some more. But even the economy-god apparently doesn't like Rex either.
I kinda almost feel bad for the guy. The Chicago Tribune reported last month that Rex has finally gotten out of Chicago completely but took a loss on both of his properties. Thats a hard financial hit to take. Course Im not sure why he needed 2 places either.
